What are 반말 & 존댓말? / ‘난 –요.’ and ‘난 –니다.’ are wrong?

- What are 반말 & 존댓말?
존댓말 ≠ Formal way. But Formal way ⊂ 존댓말
- Korean have a formal way and informal way. But 존댓말 is not 100% formal way. It is really hard to say how it is divided in two. But 반말 is an absolutely informal way.
존댓말 is used for a stranger, older people(99% sometimes except for very close people or family. etc), speech. etc.
It seems like 존댓말 = formal way. So, I will explain why it is not. If you use just 높임말 to 할아버지. It sounds really rude.
You still use ‘–요.’. But Ending with ‘-요’ doesn‘t always mean you respect the other. In that case, You have to use 극존칭.
반말 is used for close friends, sometimes family or very close older people, younger people(If you don‘t know his age, using 반말 could be an unsafe way. But If he looks very young like 10 years old, There‘s no problem.). etc.
Mostly, 반말 has to end with THE ENDINGS. And 존댓말 ends also with –니다. -요. etc. (Or –요? -니까?...)
In some special case, You can mix them. For example, When you wanna respect younger people(whoever he looks much younger than you or you already know his age.). ‘난 –요.’, ‘난 –니다.’ etc. In this case, You has to use 높임말 endings with ‘나’.（Never with 저 and 극존칭 because it gives him feel he is much older than you and maybe he or the speaker could feel you are like a slave of him.)

이름이 뭐야?      이름이 뭐에요?      성함이 어떻게 되세요?         =, 존함이 어떻게 되시나요?
잘 잤어?             잘 잤어요?              잘 주무셨어요?                      안녕히 주무셨어요?
밥 먹었어?         밥 먹었어요?           식사 하셨어요?                      =, 진지 잡수셨어요?
몇 살이야?         몇 살이에요?           나이가 어떻게 되시나요?     춘추가 어떻게 되시나요?
잘 지내               잘 지내요.               안녕히 계세요.                         =
잘 지내?             잘 지내요?              잘 지내세요?                           =
잘 지냈어?         잘 지냈어요?           잘 지내셨어요?                      =, 안녕히 계셨어요?
잘 지냈어           잘 지냈어요.            잘 지내셨어요.                        = (You can use -까? But it is military/gangster/very formal way.)
