What's the difference between 전철 and 지하철? and maybe 기차?

전철 = electric car which goes on railroad. (전: electricity, 철: rail, 철(rail)도(road))

지하철 = subway (지하:underground, 철(rail))

기차 = train (기:air(vapor), 차:car)

So, 지하철 and 기차 are 전철. However, normally 전철 is not a train. But It looks like subway and It runs only on the ground, not underground. However, 지하철 is also called as 전철 in daily life. 전철, the word isn't used a lot these days. We only use 지하철 and 기차. 기차 is train which goes all around the places in Korea.
