보통 모르는 사람하고 싸울 때 상대방을 무시하면서 지칭할 때 , 부부 사이에서 호칭으로 많이 쓰여요. 노래나 시에서 쓰여요.

Normally, You can call a stranger as 당신 when you are fighting each other and ignoring him, the calling name for a married couple, Song or Poem.
I never been called or somebody never called me like this in my whole life.
